Have you ever thought about buying someone a couch for Christmas? What about an armchair or perhaps a dining room table? Furniture is one of those gift ideas that most people don’t want to consider because it’s too big to wrap, difficult to transport, and just not really all that special or unique. But most people feel that way because they haven’t been to an antique furniture store.
Antique furniture stores are not just about old, dusty furniture from the late 1800′s or early 1900′s (at least in the United States). Most antique stores are very clean, the pieces they have for sale are spotless, and age is not really a factor. It’s all about the uniqueness of the piece: you will rarely find more than one of the same item at an antique store. You will find six chairs, but for one dining room table set. You will find two outdoor light posts, but for use together. What you usually will not find is a warehouse in the back full of the same exact couch, table, lamp, or mirror in multiple sizes and colors.
